This tea belongs to the classical "scented teas". In China, it is also known as Meigui Hongcha. The tea is processed in a traditional way: red rose petals and the tea leaves are layered during the production process and after the right quality has been achieved, they are separated by sieving. Typically sweet with a full taste and  flowery flavor, connoisseurs improve its note with a dash of cream or milk.  

Ingredients:  black tea, red rose petals

  • Amount: 1 level teaspoon/8 oz. serving
  • Water Temperature: 212 degrees F
  • Steep Time: 3-5 minutes

Caution: Do not oversteep.  Tea will become bitter.

Subtle Smooth and Fragrant
This tea is simple, but satisfying. It's floral without being overpowering. The rose flavor is blended smoothly with the black tea and compliments it perfectly. My taste buds feel like they're floating in a warm soothing pool of rose petals. Delicious!

A lovely tea with rose petals. I made a pot to use as iced tea at work, but ended up drinking the first pot right up, it was so good! Beautiful color. No bitterness. Perfect cuppa!
